Network Adds Lifestyle Categories

By Linda Moss -- Multichannel News, 11/5/2007 8:41:00 AM

ION Life, a digital multicast network, is going beyond its initial mission of providing health and wellness programming with a new slate of content in expanded lifestyle categories, officials said Monday.

ION Life’s new additions will build upon its wellness programming to include fitness, diet and nutrition, travel and adventure, design and décor, sports and all categories promoting personal growth and achievement.

The digital network, which also presents a weekly, one-hour branded program offering on the company’s flagship network, ION Television, will feature a new slate of programming, including Taste! The Beverage Show, The Weekend Guy, Along for the Ride, Get Out! with Shelley and Courtney, The Prenup Challenge, Yoga & Pilates, World Championship Sports programming and Food Wise.

ION Life has carriage deals with distributors such as Mediacom Communications, Verizon and AT&T.

Launched in February, ION Life also features programming offered by leading providers of informative health content, including NBC’s Dateline and The Today Show.
